Mutually Awkward

December

It is December 14th after 1:00am and I am currently at my work office waiting for a super long After Effects render to complete so that I can go home. The wait is going on almost three hours now and I am barely awake at this point. I know being half asleep is never a good condition for blog posting but I need to do something to kill time. Between browsing Reddit and watching Netflix movies, (got a bit into rewatching All The Days Before Tomorrow) this rare opportunity of free time leaves no excuses for not new posting. I am not exaggerating at all when I say there hasn’t been much free time. My life for over a week now has literally been editing 12+ hours, go home to sleep for a bit and then return a few hours to continue the editing.

So yes, it is now December; my favorite month of the year. It’s the month my entire year revolves around. Unfortunately, I am not hugely into the Christmas spirit yet but there is still time to build the excitement, especially with the coming chances to see friends I haven’t seen in almost a year when I visit home in Los Angeles next week. I do have to give props to Hong Kong though – the city totally knows how to bring the Christmas decoration power. I mean yeah – here it does represent full-on 250% commercialism but still… all the lights are nice. And since Thanksgiving doesn’t exist here, they were all put up early!

Anyways, my lack of Christmas cheer may change this weekend if I can achieve my only goal: see my first of several theatrical viewings of The Hobbit. Finally seeing this movie is probably the best holiday present I could think of. Here’s hoping it’s good!

almost there.

My last post was really on November 11th?! Geez, so long ago. I was a 24-year old back then (Guess who had a birthday?).

But that was in November. Time to forget the past and live in the present. And today officially leaves only 10 more days until Christmas 2011! AWYEAH.

As always, it shall be Christmas movies all month. We already did Home Alone last week. Here’s a short favorite of mine: A Charlie Brown Christmas performed by the cast of Scrubs.
