Oh snap! Two posts in one day! I finally got around to watching the Doctor Who 2011 Christmas Special last night, entitled The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. I loved this one several reasons: It was a war-time period episode (1941) and also because it is lightly Narnia inspired, following last year’s Christmas special lightly adapting A Christmas Carol (but with cruise ships in outer space, flying sharks and time travel). And I absolutely loved the final scene.
With this episode finally watched, I am at last finally caught up with Doctor Who, a task that began last year when I dove into the series and let it take over 90% of my viewing time.. Now I have to wait about a year for series 7 just like everyone else. In the meantime, I’ll finally have time to give the classic series a go. But I’m not out of BBC shows to watch yet. Still got three episodes of Sherlock to watch!
