Sooooooo Frank and I finally got together last week and recorded a new podcast episode for Dude… Wait, What? This week it is Episode 4 – My Parents Were Murdered by a Grilled Cheese Sandwich and we had our very first guest and it was our friend Natalie! Both of them are broadcasting majors and I didn’t feel awkward at all!
This week our topics included:
Frank impressing his hot dentist with tales of our podcast
My tale of witnessing an insane homeless lady get slammed and kicked down the stairs of a bus and my reactions as I sipped my coffee.
Frank’s dating someone.
My past date where I talked about awesome grilled cheese sandwiches.
Stories of me climbing mountains.
Natalie explaining why some girls hate comic books.
Frank’s fear of heights and his scissor lift leap of faith.
We talked about other stuff too but I don’t remember at this point. This may be our final episode under the Dude… Wait, What? title as we are considering changing the show name. It’s a really, really cool name though. Just you wait!
Amidst a crowd of sweaty and excited people, I have heard this song many times at the Captain Ahab shows I’ve attended and at last, I have found a way to put this kick ass track IN MY IPOD (well, technically my brother found the link). But YES, I can now blast it while walking down the street and that song purchase alone makes this week a total success.
CAMPING WAS F’ING AMAZING! I mean, my God, look at this. LOOK! I bet you totally wish you could have been there. These are a few of my favorite pics from my nature week.
The last pic is me looking out at Half Dome, the big 18 mile hike and climb from last year. Unfortunately, because of people falling to their death on the super fun cable climb part, permits are now needed this year to attempt it. So I had to settle for the Glacier Point trail, which was still a great 10 mile round trip hike. The picture is of me at it’s top. What a fantastic climax to one of the best summers in years. I really hope life allows me to go again next year.
Onto other things: New podcast episode of Cinemaddicts has been recorded and is online, in which Veronica, Gil and I discuss and rant about all the summer movies we didn’t get to talk about during the entire months of July and August.
